Mercedes Martinez Returns On 11/18 AEW Rampage, Confronts Athena

has returned to AEW TV.

The reigning ROH Women’s World Champion last competed in a televised match in July, as she had been dealing with an injury for a number of weeks. She wrestled at the AEW Dark: Elevation taping on November 16, and she stepped into the spotlight two days later.

On the November 18 episode of AEW Rampage, Athena defeated Madison Rayne. When she kept attacking Rayne after the bell, referee Aubrey Edwards tried to stop her, but Athena hit her too. Her actions prompted Martinez to come to the ring and confront “The Fallen Goddess”.
