Girls star Jemima Kirke has split with her husband, former lawyer Michael Mosberg
GIRLS star (and Lena Dunham BFF) Jemima Kirke has split from her husband of seven years, Michael Mosberg.
According to US Weekly, the actress reportedly separated from Mosberg six months ago.
Kirke and her husband, a former lawyer, married in 2009 and have two children, a six-year-old daughter Rafaella and a son Memphis, four.
According to a source Mosberg was on a dating app six months ago after the pair had apparently split.
In an interview with The Telegraph in 2016, Kirke said that Mosberg was getting ready to open a rehab centre in Brooklyn.
The two first met when Kirke was doing a stint in rehab in her 20s.
Kirke also told the newspaper she had started drinking again socially after years of sobriety.
She said at the time her husband was concerned about her drinking alcohol again.
“Mike was nervous at first. He said, ‘Look, I would never tell you what to do; you are an adult — just don’t f**k it up.’ He had every right to be scared, he knew my story,” she said.
“But I was a different person back then. I was in my early 20s. I didn’t have children.”
Aside from her own two kids, Kirke is also stepmother to Mosberg’s son Elijah and daughter Lea from a previous relationship.
Kirke is about to appear alongside Dunham in the final season of Girls, which airs from February 12 on HBO.
