Sean Strickland tears Colby Covington apart in passionate defence of Leon Edwards ahead of UFC 296 s
UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland tore into Colby Covington after his controversial comments about Leon Edwards' deceased father.
Covington drew criticism after crass comments about Edwards' dad, who died in a shooting at a nightclub when Rocky was just 13.
At the UFC 296 pre-fight press conference on Friday, Chaos said: “On Saturday night, I’m going to bring you to a place you never want to be.
“I’m going to bring you to the seventh level of hell. We’ll say 'what’s up' to your dad while we’re there.”
It prompted an on-stage brawl, with Edwards launching a water bottle before security intervened, and Strickland has had his say.
Taking a break from his own heated press conference ahead of his clash against title foe Dricus Du Plessis, the 32-year-old said: “You guys Colby fans in here? Give me a show of hands.

“You guys, let me give you some facts about Colby. Colby is an utter piece of s***.
“If you know Colby on a personal level, he’s f***** over everybody he f****** knows, and I take Colby as a personal insult to me.
"Because the Trump Republicans, you guys are my people, the blue-collar workers.
"You guys are my f****** people, and you’ve got a c*** like Colby coming in here and taking up the banner when he doesn’t give a f*** about you.

Edwards takes on Covington in Las Vegas on Saturday night as he looks to defend his UFC welterwight title.
