Slaughterhouse Working on 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher

Joe Budden took to Instagram and revealed that he and the Slaughterhouse crew were collaborating on a cypher. “It’s that time again ppl.. #Cypher,” his caption read along with the above photo of Budden, Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9 and Joell Ortiz. DJ Premiere is also in the picture.

With the BET Hip-Hop Awards around the corner, it’s easy to deduce that the rap crew will be making an appearance in the award show’s famous cypher series. The crew last appeared in the 2011 “Shady 2.0 Cypher” with Eminem and Yelawolf. Budden caught flak for his mention of incarcerated rapper Max B in that cypher. “She’s so bad I make her hit the telly from a taxi and dead her in that Holiday Inn, learned that from Max-B,” he rapped. Max B spoke out via Twitter, citing his innocence in coordinating the Holiday Inn murder in 2006 for which he is serving a 75-year sentence.

In other BET Hip Hop Awards news, Kendrick Lamar leads the list of nominees for the 2013 awards show. Others up for trophies include Kanye West, Jay Z, 2 Chainz, Wale, ASAP Rocky, Drake, J. Cole, Ace Hood and more. The show will air Oct. 15 on BET.
