The 49 year-old Florida rapper reportedly lost all his money through lack of management and overspending. The rapper earned quite a lot of money from the dozen chart-topping hits and collabs he produced.

He Has Filed For Bankruptcy More Than Three Times

According to TMZ, Trick Daddy owes more money than he is currently earning therefore he decided to declare bankruptcy. The rapper filed for Chapter 11 claiming debts of more than $640,000 and only $430,000 in total assets.

In August 2015, Trick Daddy filed for bankruptcy in Florida and according to the filing, he had $430,000 worth of assets and $630,000 worth of debt at that time. He reportedly claimed that his monthly earnings were still in the ballpark of $14,000 and most of his income came from music royalties and club appearances.

At the same time, he reportedly owed about $35,000 in child support to his former girlfriend and another $22,000 in child support to another former girlfriend. Some reports also said he owed $290,000 in back taxes and $280,000 in mortgages.

He filed the second bankruptcy in 2019 and the court documents suggested that the rapper owed more than $800,000 to various creditors. At that time he claimed to have $0 in his checking account and $150 worth of clothes but he still owned his Miramar home which was worth $350,000. Trick also claimed the home was filled with household items worth about $1500.

Aside from owning a million-dollar home, Trick Daddy’s other assets included $2,500 in furniture, $400 in jewelry, and also $150 in clothing as at the time of his third Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing. He also had $10,000 of stock in his record label Trick and Rick Music Publishing even though he reported that he had no cash on hand or in the band at that time.

His most recent bankruptcy filing which was mostly related to real estate rumors had it that he wanted to save his home auction block. At that time he reportedly owed over $435,000 to his mortgage company. He claimed he has not paid off any of the $290,000 he owed to the IRS and also his unpaid child support payments remained unresolved at $57,000.

Apparently, Trick Daddy is not the first rapper who has lost all his money. He has joined the likes of R. Kelly, DMX, Lil Kim among many others.

Trick Daddy was born Maurice Samuel Young on September 27th, 1974 in Miami, Florida, the United States to his parents, Charles Young and Pearl Brockington. His mother singlehandedly raised Trick alongside his 10 brothers and sisters in the liberty square apartment complex. However, Trick moved to his father’s place together with his brother when he became a teenager.

The rapper was living with his father who was a local pimp when he started dealing with cocaine on the streets. When he clocked 15, he got arrested for possessing drugs and firearms.
