TWICE

Twice is a South Korean female group created by JYP Entertainment. They go by the names Twice (Korean: RR: Teuwaiseu; Japanese, Hepburn: Touwaisu; often styled as TWICE). Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu are the other nine members of the group.

Twice made its television debut on October 20, 2015, with the extended play (EP) The Story Begins. Twice was founded as part of the Sixteen (2015) television series. The song “Cheer Up” by Twice, which peaked at number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, became the best-performing single of the year, and won “Song of the Year” at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards, catapulted the group to domestic prominence in 2016.

From their third EP Twicecoaster: Lane 1, “TT,” their following song, topped the Gaon charts for four weeks in a row. The EP sold more copies than any other Korean girl group record in 2016.
